"Hands-On Fun"
18 months to 30 months of age.
Focus on developing language, social interactions, self-help skills, cognitive development and physical abilities through age-appropriate experiences.
30 months to kindergarten age.
Focus on developing friendships, self-help skills, language and math skills as well as role play and fostering interests in the outdoors through a wide variety of activities.
4 years to 6 years of age.
Focus on developing leadership opportunities, problem solving, developing close friendships, fostering creativity through art materials, loose parts and the outdoors with peers and teachers.
6 years to 12 years of age.
Focus on leadership within all aspects of the program including planning for both indoor and outdoor activities; fieldtrips, fundraising events and family involvement opportunities in collaboration with peers and teachers.
Our Approach
Here at Golf Road School Child Care Centre, we follow "How Does Learning Happen" Ontario's Pedagogy for the Early Years and "Early Learning for Every Child Today" as the framework to guide programming and pedagogy.
We view each child as competent, capable, curious and rich in potential.
Documentation
We are pleased to offer our families an on-line app for receiving daily updates called HiMama.
This interactive app allows you to communicate with the teachers, provide and request information, keep a journal of your child's photos and much more.
