Our Learning Environments
Toddlers
Two Registered Early Childhood Educators, along with support staff guide a group of 10 toddlers in daily activities indoors and outdoors. The toddlers will be provided with a wide variety of developmentally appropriate activities and materials to encourage learning experiences.
Each day the children will be offered experiences in art, language, sensory, math, music, drama and indoor and outdoor physical play. They will be offered a minimum of 2 snacks and a hot lunch as well as a rest period of up to 2 hours.
Preschool
Two full time Registered Early Childhood Educators, along with a half time RECE will provide child initiated and adult supported experiences in all learning areas daily for 16 children. Materials will be provided without expectations, allowing for developing creativity and problem solving.
Each day the children will be offered experiences in art, language, sensory, math, music, drama and indoor and outdoor physical play. They will be offered a minimum of 2 snacks and a hot lunch as well as a rest period of up to 2 hours.
Kinders
Two Early Childhood Educators will provide a before and after school program that allows for a child directed day that is in line with their school curriculum for 26 children.
The morning is relaxed, with time for socializing and playing with friends and teachers while enjoying a healthy snack before school.
After school, the children will enjoy a minimum of 30 minutes outdoors and planned activities that are based on the children's interests and abilities. A healthy snack is also provided.
A full day of activities, hot lunch, optional rest time, outdoor play both morning and afternoon as well as special events are planned for non-instructional days.
School Age
Three Early Childhood Educators will provide a before and after school program for 45 children.
The morning is relaxed, with time for socializing and playing with friends and teachers while enjoying a healthy snack before school.
After school, the children will enjoy a minimum of 30 minutes outdoors and planned activities that are based on the children's interests and abilities. A healthy snack is also provided.
Children will have the opportunity to join after school clubs, sports teams, chess club, etc. that are offered by Golf Road Junior Public School.
A full day of activities, hot lunch, outdoor play both morning and afternoon, as well as special events are planned for non-instructional days.
